Results & Impact
Prospective client-partners understandably ask,
“What will result from the engagement?”
The most honest answer is,
“It depends. And mostly on you.”
OpenSource consults to foundations, funder networks, nonprofit advocacy organizations and coalitions, and leadership development programs around the country. By its nature, equity is adaptive and contextual – it depends on what is both needed and possible at a given point on a group’s journey, and what the appetite for change truly is. It is desperately urgent – literally life and death – and yet also must be deliberate and iterative.
Through our work together, groups have achieved results such as…
- Re-imagined their organizational purpose and identity as “accomplices” to racial justice and liberation.
- Initiated strategies and programs to advance racial equity as an inextricable part of achieving the mission, regardless of what it is.
- Articulated equity principles that guide every decision.
- Re-designed their staffing structure to shift and share power internally and to be in right relationship with community.
- Used their voice and access to challenge and change unjust systems.
